Our new Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) and 25KeV High Voltage Power Supply upgrade package will greatly increase your sample throughput, system performance and improve the quality of your data. The new high energy power supply coupled with the Ultra High Count Rate Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) enables faster data collection with avoiding compromise in data quality.

  • A typical 4 hour analysis can now be completed in less than 2 hours.
  • Ability to collect EDS data 10 to 15 times faster.
  • Count rates > 40,000/sec for GSR and 100,000/sec for Trace Analysis work.
  • Typical EDS acquisition times of 3 sec/6 sec can be reduced to 0.2 sec/0.5 sec without compromise in data accuracy.
  • Improved heavy element differentiation
  • Improved L alpha line counts for X-ray identification of Lead
  • No liquid nitrogen required
  • No maintenance
  • Cost for LN2 is eliminated
  • Light element ultra thin window models available with energy resolution ~ 130 eV.

BE Detectors can see down to Sodium (Na)
LE Detectors can see below Sodium (Na) such as Oxides (O), Carbon (C), and Boron (B). Beryllium (Be) will not be seen.
