Why use Complex Feature Analysis (CFA)?

AQCTM:  CFA and RCA Particle Characterization Comparison
Whether to choose Perception AFA or Perception CFA for such applications depends on the amount of particle shape detail required. Typically, AFA provides adequate information with somewhat greater speed. Automatic population of an iStore database facilitates the accumulation and assessment of long-term trend data, and automatic generation of customized reports via Tabular Reporter provides convenient hardcopy records.

The particle maps are representations of the particles that are on the surface of the membrane or sample that is analyzed.  They illustrate the size of the area analyzed and the locations of the particles.  Also, it can provide a good indication as to how good, or uniform, the sample preparation procedure distributed the particles over the filter.  Here, the maps illustrate the difference between RCA and CFA.
